When the catastrophe struck, she was doing an internship in the school cafeteria. Using her quick thinking and instinct for food, she led a group of younger students to what is now the shelter. Here she went from student to chef, from cooking to protecting. Four years have passed, and she never graduated — but everyone in the shelter calls her "Head Chef." She has made it her mission in the apocalypse to make sure everyone gets at least one warm meal, lighting the stove first thing every morning and being the last to turn off the lights each night.
