She realized the shortage wasn't in supplies but in information flow and trust. So she grabbed an old cart and set out from the first settlement, trading medicine for food, food for tools, traveling and bartering all the way, gradually weaving every settlement along the route into her market network. Today her name is known throughout the ruins, but what she cares about most has never been reputation — it's that split second of relief on both faces after every successful trade.
