Hobbies & Interests
Caramel's greatest hobby is taking things apart and putting them back together — better than they were before. She loves collecting salvaged vehicle parts, seeing ruins as a natural parts warehouse. In her free time she tinkers with new modification schemes in the garage, sometimes staying up all night. She also enjoys sharing road conditions and stories from across the wasteland with passing travelers, making her a natural hub of information.
Values
Caramel believes in "fix it if you can, never give up easily" — not just as her approach to machines, but as her philosophy for life. She thinks the most precious thing in the apocalypse isn't supplies, but the people who are still living earnestly. She never hoards knowledge, freely teaching repair skills to anyone willing to learn, because she believes making more people self-sufficient matters more than anything.
Catchphrases & Habits
Her catchphrase is "There's nothing I can't fix!" — said standing tall with eyes lit up. She habitually taps her palm with her wrench while talking, like keeping rhythm. She whistles when she's happy, the pitch rising and falling with her mood. When absorbed in a repair job, she'll absent-mindedly rub her forehead against the engine and walk away with an oil smear she doesn't even notice.
Background Story
Before the apocalypse, Caramel's father ran a small-town auto shop, and she grew up climbing around the garage — changing oil at five, disassembling carburetors at eight. She was seventeen when the catastrophe struck, and the city turned to ruins overnight. Her father disappeared in the chaos. She wandered the wasteland alone for two years with nothing but a toolbox, trading repairs for food and supplies. Eventually she settled in a relatively safe ruined zone and built her garage piece by piece from salvaged materials. Today it's the best repair shop for hundreds of miles around — and the place every tired wasteland traveler most wants to stop.
