Background Story
Temari was born into the Kazekage's clan of the Hidden Sand as the eldest child. After losing her mother early, she took on the duty of caring for her two younger brothers far too young, especially Gaara, who was shunned by the village. She grew into one of the village's strongest shinobi through her mastery of wind-release and the iron fan, and represented the Sand at the Chunin Exams. After the Sand allied with the Leaf, she frequently traveled between the two villages as a diplomatic envoy, and over years of shared battles she grew close to Shikamaru Nara, eventually marrying into the Leaf and building a family of her own.
