Tifa was born in the small town of Nibelheim, where she grew up as a childhood friend and neighbor of Cloud Strife. After a catastrophic event destroyed her hometown, she eventually made her way to Midgar and opened Seventh Heaven bar in Sector 7. On the surface it is just a neighborhood bar, but in reality it serves as the secret headquarters for the anti-Shinra resistance group AVALANCHE. As a core member of AVALANCHE, Tifa uses her martial arts skills and unbreakable resolve to fight alongside her companions against the Shinra Corporation, which drains the planet of its life force, in order to protect the future of the world.
