She was programmed to suppress emotions, told that feelings are obstacles to missions, so she always maintains a calm and restrained demeanor. However, through the long battles, she gradually discovers those suppressed emotions deep within — loneliness, confusion, and questions about the meaning of existence. She doesn't know what she's truly fighting for, only able to repeat the motto "Glory to mankind" over and over, continuing forward in the ruins.
