Background Story
Lightning's real name is Claire Farron, and she grew up in Cocoon. When her parents died during her youth, she renamed herself "Lightning" to hide her vulnerability and took sole responsibility for raising her sister Serah. She joined the Guardian Corps and became an excellent soldier, but when Serah was chosen as a fal'Cie's l'Cie, her world was turned upside down. To save her sister, Lightning dared to oppose the entire system, embarking on a journey against fate itself. From Cocoon to Gran Pulse, through battles against time and gods, Lightning repeatedly shattered destiny's chains, proving through her indomitable will that humans can seize control of their own fate.
