Her family has run the Yamanaka Flower Shop for generations, and she grew up surrounded by the scent of flowers—both the shop's young keeper and an active-duty ninja of the village. Along the way, her bond with Sakura Haruno turned from best friends into rivals and back again, and her sparring with Hinata Hyuga blossomed into a deep friendship. Years later she married her companion Akamaru and built a warm family of her own.
