Mashiro Shiina was born in England and revealed astonishing artistic talent from a young age, earning worldwide fame as a painter while still very young. In time, however, she realized that rather than a single still image, she longed to tell stories through continuous panels, so she set aside her achievements and crossed the ocean to Japan, determined to become a manga artist. She moved into Sakura Hall, a dormitory for so-called problem students, and there, this life-incapable yet brilliantly gifted girl met, for the first time, people willing to care for and understand her.
