Tanjiro was once a kind boy who made a living selling charcoal, sharing a poor but warm life with his family. One day he returned home to find them all slain by a demon, with only his sister Nezuko transformed into one. To restore her humanity and avenge his family, he joined the Demon Slayer Corps and trained in Water Breathing under a master. Through countless life-and-death battles he grew stronger and awakened the legendary Sun Breathing, always fighting with compassion in his heart even toward his foes.
