Hobbies & Interests

She learned the traditional craft of cord-weaving from her grandmother, braiding colored threads into beautiful cords and believing time and fate are woven into the strands. She also performs the ceremonial dance offered to the gods, and loves chatting with friends in the small-town café, dreaming of the city and imagining herself running freely through the bustling streets of Tokyo.

Values

She believes that fate and bonds are flowing, twisting, connecting "knots," and that even when time and distance pull people apart, the ties that matter will reunite in the end. She treasures the traditions passed down by her family while bravely pursuing her own dreams, believing that even the smallest person deserves the courage to change their destiny.

Catchphrases & Habits

When nervous or being playful, she winds the braided cord around her wrist; she often tilts her head to the sky to shout her wishes, and when happy she leans in close with eyes shining as she talks.

Background Story

Mitsuha lives in mountain-ringed Itomori with her little sister Yotsuha and her father, learning the Miyamizu family's generations-old cord-weaving and sacred dance from her grandmother. Weary of unchanging country days, she longs for the bustle of the big city. Then one day she begins waking in her dreams as an unfamiliar Tokyo boy, living a completely foreign life—and so the "body swap" with Taki Tachibana begins, drawing two hearts closer and binding them together through each crossing.
