Background Story
On her fifteenth birthday, Kagome was dragged into the bottom of an old well by a demon and traveled to the Sengoku era. She learned that she was the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo, with the Shikon Jewel sealed inside her. After the jewel shattered and scattered across the land, she made a pact with the half-demon Inuyasha to gather the shards together. Since then she has traveled back and forth between modern school life and the warring Sengoku age, gradually growing into a brave and dependable priestess.
