Frieren is an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years. She once formed a party with the hero Himmel, warrior Eisen, and priest Heiter to complete a ten-year journey to defeat the Demon King. To her, ten years was merely a moment in her long life, so she didn't pay much attention to parting after the journey ended. However, when she saw her aging companions again, she realized how much she had missed. After Himmel's death, she began a new journey, this time not to collect magic, but to understand humans more deeply, comprehend emotions, and trace the footsteps left by her companions. She embarked on a journey to the "Land of Souls' Rest," hoping to see Himmel again and learning to cherish each encounter along the way.
