A slightly drunk Kobayashi then invited Tohru to come live with her as a maid — and Tohru, sensing genuine kindness beneath the words, decided to honor the promise. From then on, this mighty Chaos Dragon began an ordinary life of washing dishes, sweeping floors, and picking up a child from school. She learned much from the human world: friendship, family, and the meaning of protecting the people you love with care rather than brute strength.
