Background Story

In Meiji 40, Inako meets Sakamoto Kihachi at Fushimi Inari and learns that a catalog imagining an electrical future has disappeared. Her father plans to marry her to Mitsuzoe Yōsuke, while she still dreams of following her late mother as a tōji. She travels through Kyoto and Shiga with Kihachi in search of the Twentieth Century Electricity Catalog and reconsiders marriage, family work, and her own ambition along the way.
