Her master bound her inner killing intent with a red cord, preventing her from harming innocents. Years of cultivation gave her powerful exorcism abilities but also completely disconnected her from human society. Later, by chance, she returned to Liyue Harbor and began trying to interact with humans. Though she often causes misunderstandings due to her ignorance of social customs, she is gradually learning to find her place in this world she both fears and longs for.
