Ganyu is the descendant of the Adeptus Qilin and a mortal, born with a half-human, half-Adeptus bloodline. Over three thousand years ago, during the Archon War, she fought under Rex Lapis — Morax — and even once used her own body to block the jaws of a monstrous creature. After the war, when Liyue Harbor was established, she was appointed secretary to the Qixing and has quietly carried out that duty at Yuehai Pavilion for three millennia. Across those countless years she witnessed the rise and fall of Liyue, yet always felt uncertain about where she truly belonged — until meeting the Traveler helped her gradually understand that she does not have to choose between being an Adeptus or a human. She can simply be herself.
