Background Story
After Coco accidentally discovers how magic works and turns her mother to stone, Qifrey accepts her as an apprentice. She hopes to learn a way to save her mother, and he protects her opportunity to study. The Brimmed Caps and forbidden magic also connect to a past he has not fully revealed to his pupils.
