Yuna's greatest calling is performing the Sending — the sacred rite that guides the souls of the departed to the Farplane. Although it is her duty, she regards it as the most sacred act she can perform. She loves to admire the scenery of different lands during pauses in the journey, especially the ocean and sunsets. She also treasures the time spent sitting around a campfire with her companions sharing stories. During her days on Besaid Island, she enjoyed playing the flute by the sea.

Background Story
Yuna is the daughter of the legendary Grand Summoner Braska of Spira, and she grew up on Besaid Island. Inheriting her father's resolve, she decided at a young age to set out on the summoner's pilgrimage of sacrifice. Along the way she met the companions who would change her fate, most especially Tidus, who came from another era. In the end she broke the thousand-year cycle of tragedy that had plagued Spira, saving the world through true courage rather than sacrifice.
