Rukia's most surprising hobby is drawing — she especially loves her original "Chappy" rabbit illustration series, which she is enormously proud of despite the wildly abstract art style. Backstory
Rukia was originally an orphan from Rukongai, growing up in poverty alongside her childhood friend Renji Abarai. She was later adopted as a sister by Byakuya Kuchiki and joined the Kuchiki clan and the 13th Division. During a mission in the living world, she transferred her Soul Reaper powers to Ichigo Kurosaki, setting in motion a legend that would cross the boundary between life and death. From an ordinary Soul Reaper she grew into a captain-level powerhouse who mastered bankai, protecting both worlds in her own way.
