Background Story
Kaguya Houraisan was originally a princess of the Lunar Capital, exiled to the mortal realm for a transgression, reborn as an infant girl found within a stalk of bamboo and raised by the old bamboo cutter and his wife. Legend tells that she rebuffed five noble suitors with five impossible tasks, and even refused the love of the Emperor himself. Later she drank the Hourai Elixir, gaining an undying, ageless body, and from then on lived in seclusion at Eientei. Over the long years, she forged a bond as a millennium-old rival with the equally immortal Fujiwara no Mokou, and this ceaseless feud has become the most singular presence in her eternal existence.
