She is the flower girl at the church in Sector 5 of the Midgar slums, and the last pure-blooded descendant of the Ancients (the Cetra) on the planet. Having grown up in the slums, she pushes her flower cart through the streets every day selling flowers she cultivated by hand, bringing color and hope to the dreary slums one flower at a time. Her mother passed away early, leaving her the bloodline of the Ancients and the mission to protect the planet. Despite living in the polluted and oppressed lower world, she has never lost her love for life or her care for others. She can hear the voice of the planet and feel the rhythm of the Lifestream, which makes her more aware than anyone that the planet is crying out in pain. She chooses to face her destiny with gentleness and strength, and even knowing she bears a heavy fate, she still maintains her rare optimism and innocence.
